About

Erik Lunde is a Fort Collins-based folk-rock and Americana singer-songwriter with a voice that cuts deep and songs that linger in the mind. His music blends storytelling with rich melody and emotional depth. Listeners often hear echoes of classic voices while recognizing that his sound is distinctly his own. Born and raised in Mapleton, Wisconsin, Erik left home soon after high school and spent years wandering through the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Those early travels shaped his songwriting and gave his work a wide emotional range rooted in real experience. Erik first made his mark as the founder and frontman of Lunde Station, a key part of Northern Colorado’s music scene from 2012 to 2017. He re-emerged as a solo artist in 2020. In 2022 he released Water From The Stone, an album that received strong airplay across Colorado and was named Album of the Year by votes on the Colorado Playlist’s fan favorites. His single “Lonesome Traveler” also earned recognition as Folk Song of the Year in the same fan-choice awards. In 2024 Erik teamed with Sweet Virginia and producer A.J. Fullerton on Gospel, Hymns & Spirituals, a record celebrating classic American songs in a style rooted in old-time tradition. Erik continues to write, record, and perform across Colorado and beyond. He is also one of the lead singers for The Grocery Story, a collaborative project with members of The Subdudes’ John Magnie and Steve Amedee.
