Ethan Leaming is a New Orleans-born guitarist, trombonist, and vocalist who lives and performs in Colorado. He is known for his versatility, energetic stage presence, and a musical style rooted in roots, rock, swing, and New Orleans-style brass traditions. Ethan plays guitar and sings as the lead performer in Mountain Duo, a project that sees him on stage for well over 100 shows each year. With Mountain Duo, he delivers melodic, engaging performances that fit weddings, festivals, and venues across the region. He also brings the sound of New Orleans brass to life as a trombonist and vocalist with Bourbon Brass Band, a horn-and-drum ensemble that celebrates traditional New Orleans brass band music. The group performs regularly in Colorado and elsewhere, and has even returned to New Orleans to play in Mardi Gras parades and celebrations, bringing authentic second-line rhythms and energy back home. As a working musician, Ethan combines strong musicianship with a deep feel for rhythm and melody. He moves comfortably between guitar-driven sets and horn-focused brass band performances.
