About
Brendan Poor is a Fort Collins–based guitarist and vocalist active in several bands across the northern Colorado music scene. He performs with groups including Pipin’ Hot and Frogboat while also appearing in collaborative side projects and local jam ensembles. Known for his energetic stage presence and melodic guitar work, he has become a regular performer at venues and community events around Fort Collins. Poor’s work spans a range of styles that reflect the collaborative nature of the Front Range music community. With Pipin’ Hot, he contributes guitar and vocals to a groove-driven mix of funk, jam, and dance-oriented rock developed through years of local performances and songwriting. He also performs with Frogboat, a Fort Collins band featuring multiple local players and blending guitar-forward improvisation with rhythmic, jam-influenced arrangements. Outside those core groups, Poor has appeared in related projects and informal collaborations with other regional musicians. These include ensembles such as Herbie Derbert, which features members of Frogboat and other Fort Collins bands performing jam-style covers and live sets around town. His connections extend into the broader local scene that includes groups such as Cactus Cat, whose psychedelic indie sound and exploratory live shows are part of the same creative community.
