About

Pipin’ Hot is a Fort Collins, Colorado–based jam and funk band known for high-energy performances built around improvisation and danceable grooves. Emerging from the northern Colorado music community, the group blends funk, jazz, rock, and electronic influences into a live sound designed to keep audiences moving. Their shows emphasize groove-driven jams, extended instrumental passages, and a party-style atmosphere rooted in the region’s jam-band tradition. The band’s lineup has included guitarist and vocalist Brendan Poor alongside other Fort Collins musicians such as Nick Troiano, Steven Edwards, and Eric Beutel. Together they developed a collaborative sound that pulls from disco rhythms, progressive rock textures, and classic funk, creating a hybrid style that balances structured songs with improvisational live performance. Since forming, Pipin’ Hot has built a following in the Front Range music scene through club performances, regional festivals, and recordings. Their releases include live recordings such as Live on the Lanes (9/11/20), which captures the band’s improvisational approach and groove-heavy stage sound. As part of the Fort Collins jam and funk community, the group continues to appear at local venues and music events across northern Colorado.
